Why have you decided to become an Avencore consultant?

I started my professional career in the space industry for a launcher design & manufacturing company: first as a design engineer, and then as a system engineer, to pilot development & first-of-a-kind manufacturing of launcher subsystems.
After 6 years in the industry, I discovered Avencore through my personal network, which I joined in 2021, and was seduced by its one-of-a-kind market positioning as an industrial consulting pure player: it was the perfect fit for me as I was looking for an opportunity to tackle new challenges in various industrial sectors and multiple practices. At first, I was surprised by the pace at which I got to switch from one project to another, given how diverse they were: in my first year alone, I had the chance to lead 5 projects in 4 different industrial sectors, and I got the opportunity to exchange with far more diverse profiles within our clients’ organization than I was used to in the industry.

What is the impact of Avencore’s work on clients from your perspective?

Our team of consultants is able to efficiently structure complex problems of very various natures (technical, economic, organizational…) in order to elaborate pragmatic and actionable solutions. Our DNA enables us to connect easily with very diverse profiles within our clients’ organizations (engineers, buyers, project managers, C-level executives…) and earn their trust to work together and generate valuable insights, whether from their own industrial sector or from other industries, to look for the most valuable solutions to increase the performance of their projects, products, services and organizations. While on a recent project for an OEM in the nuclear industry, our work allowed us to disprove some major misconceptions about how their procured equipment’s costs could be broken down and how much they should actually cost – even up to senior management! We often underestimate how well we can bring up cost awareness into our clients’ organization, and how much value it creates for them.

What do you like most about your job as a consultant and work at Avencore?

Having worked my way from Consultant up to the Manager position, I am especially glad to have benefited from Avencore management’s support to adapt to this new way of working while valuing my strong expertise as an industrial insider. I feel like every day at Avencore gives me the opportunity to learn about the industry, new ways to help our clients gain efficiency and performance, and also help our consultants grow and progress as they gain experience throughout their projects.
