What is your job at Avencore?

I joined Avencore in 2022 as a Senior Consultant. My job involves defining and supporting performance and process transformation programs for major industrial players in the energy and defense sectors. For example, I was involved in optimizing the physical flows at a major group’s production site to enable the deployment of a new 5-axis machine. At the end of the project, the plant’s footprint was optimized by 30%!

In my opinion, there are three key assets required of an Avencore consultant: a structured approach to work and communication; teamwork; and last but not least, curiosity and a willingness to learn!

A customer anectode?

Kick-off meeting for a project: we are ready with our presentation carefully prepared the day before… but we have to leave our computers / phones in a box at the reception desk for defense security issues… We adapted, had a very good first meeting and ended up with one of my most successful missions ever!

What do you like about your job?

Personally, I appreciate the diversity of projects at Avencore. Directors ask us to work on high value-added systems (satellites, offshore wind turbines, etc.) as well as mass-produced consumer goods (snowmobiles or pressure cookers for instance). We are also fortunate to work with stakeholders at all levels, from the board of directors to management and operations teams. Days are fast-paced and never the same, so there is no room for monotony!
