The Mission
To support a leading player in the Automotive & Powersports sector, we developed a supply chain strategy for High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) parts in Mexico. Faced with supplier reluctance and strong dependencies, the mission focused on securing local alternatives, strengthening key relationships, and ensuring long-term resilience.
The Challenges
- Client faces challenges building a robust HPDC supply chain.
- Existing suppliers are hesitant or unable to invest in ICE business.
- Difficulties in finding new partners for the client’s niche position results in strong dependencies on current suppliers.
The Approach
- On-site supplier workshops in Mexico to strengthen supplier relationships & evaluate M&A opportunities from supply chain perspective.
- Identifying further alternative suppliers with presence in Mexico.
- Provide scenarios for a future-proof supplier panel.
- Develop recommendations for the future supply chain strategy in Mexico.
