Faced with strong and unexpected increase in production, in an expanding market with dynamic order flow, an aeronautic equipment supplier turned to AVENCORE to establish a strategy to eradicate non-quality costs. Until then, less than 15% of units coming out of the production line were compliant. Derogation requests were piling up.
To address this issue, we revisited all processes from design to production, with two main objectives:
Results quickly materialized, with a FTY (first-time-yield) rate increased from 15% to 95% and resources required to address non-quality issues divided by four.
