An original challenge was submitted to us by a leading player in the energy & environment sector, involved in designing and building turnkey waste treatment plants for large corporate or institutional clients. Under the pressure of an intense agenda of tender processes, the company’s management decided to engage in an effort to standardize its CAPEX projects.
To respond to the diverse requirements expressed by the company’s clients, we designed a standard fictional project to which we applied a design-to-cost methodology, to identify all cost reduction opportunities.
Integrated within a standard software tool, these opportunities and scenarios helped substantially reduce the time it takes to prepare a bid. They also allowed to improve price positioning by 15%.
