At the end of a successful industrial research effort, a spin-off of a leading player in the paper industry embarked on a project to industrialize a new manufacturing process. AVENCORE was selected to support this decisive step by building a business case demonstrating the project’s profitability.
The company’s goal was to establish a new production facility, scaled to absorb the expected business growth, as the company captures new markets overtime.
A cost mapping survey was conducted, along with projections of future workloads, to establish different scenarios for an adequately sized production unit. As a result, we were able to advise the customer in setting the right balance between CAPEX and OPEX costs and creating together a production process that met quality, costs and production lead time targets.
